The Role

The Category Manager - Supply Chain will partner closely with our Supply Chain team to drive maximum commercial value across a ~$60M spend indirects portfolio (encompassing road, ocean, warehousing, forklifts, and pallets). Working with cross-functional teams, you will develop and implement operational improvements while validating and challenging requirements for physical logistics changes across our Cans business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end category strategies and upcoming major contract renewals for supply chain indirects to secure top commercial outcomes and maximize competitive advantage
  • Collaborate closely with the internal Supply Chain team to take operational strategies to market, validate requirements for physical changes, and build winning business cases
  • Plan, lead, and conduct key negotiations with major supplier partnerships while lifting overall negotiation capability and best-practice equivalence across the procurement team
  • Establish and implement a structured supplier assurance framework and review timetables to systematically monitor performance and deliver negotiated benefits
  • Manage supplier escalations and run systematic reviews to ensure strict contract compliance, Chain of Responsibility (CoR), and logistics safety requirements are fully met
  • Inject alternative thinking into the category, championing fleet electrification, labor depreciation strategies, and the broader sustainability roadmap with major providers

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, procurement, or a related discipline
  • 3+ years in procurement or supply chain, with deep expertise in transport, warehousing, 3PL, and logistics market dynamics
  • Track record of developing end-to-end category strategies, managing large contract portfolios, and leading complex negotiations
  • Exceptional communication and business-partnering skills to influence cross-functional teams and present confidently to executives
  • A self-starter with exposure to creative solutions around sustainability, category management and technology
