The Role
MPP Union City is currently seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to support company management by performing a variety of administrative functions, such as operating a switchboard and answering incoming calls, giving information to callers, taking deliveries and directing visitors

What You’ll be Responsible For in this Role
- Welcomes visitors, obtains name, nature of visit, and notifies co-worker.
- Answers incoming calls, transfers calls and takes messages.
- Scans and files paperwork.
- General clerical duties
- Retrieves the mail
- Checks the office supplies to see if any of it needs to be replenished.
- Takes and signs off on deliveries to front desk.
- Communicate effectively with all levels in the organization
- Proficient in computer software (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
- Ability to operate various office machines
- Performs other duties and/ or responsibilities as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1-2 years related work experience and/ or training; equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the organization, including dealing with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong customer service and telephone communication skills.
- Upbeat and friendly personality.
- Ability to write correspondence.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to operate various office machines and computers.
- Bi-lingual preferred, but not required (ability to speak Spanish).
- Proficient in computer applications and software (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point).
