The Role
Orora Packaging Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to direct and coordinate activities of co-workers engaged in repair,maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment, environmental compliance, and in maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utility systems.
 

This position will report to the Plant Manager.

What You’ll be Responsible For in this Role

• Review job orders to determine work priorities. Schedule repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.
• Coordinate activities of co-workers fabricating or modifying machines, tools, or equipment to manufacture new products or improve existing products.
• Direct maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas or air required for operations.
• Develop preventive maintenance program in conjunction with engineering and maintenance staff.
• Review production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities.
• Inspect operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.
• Plan, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
• Review new product plans and discusses equipment needs and modifications with design engineers.
• Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations.
• Direct training and indoctrination of co-workers to improve work performance and acquaint co-workers with company policies and procedures.
• Confer with management, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
• Work with Plant Manager to prepare department budget.
• Responsible for environmental compliance according to County, State and Federal guidelines.
• Perform other duties and/ or responsibilities as assigned.
• Responsible for preparing Machine Preventative maintenance schedules
• Responsible for planning and identifying replacement parts, that come form mechanical issues that require repair / replacement, and presenting to Management for approval
• Responsible for planning & allocating Maintenance Mechanics daily / weekly tasks
• Ensure that any breakdown of plant machinery and equipment is responded to immediately and has a mechanic assigned to that equipment or breakdown to minimize any downtime.
• Work the hours required to ensure any breakdown / repair is completed to minimize any downtime to plant & equipment
   

What We’re Looking For
 

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or with GED Certificate; or five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
