Shift Supervisor

The Role

The Shift Supervisor will have operational responsibility for the Ballarat production team and will deliver on all manufacturing activities with a key focus on Safety, Quality, Meeting Manufacturing Targets/adherence to the schedule and Development of the people. 

This will be a 24*7, 12hours rotating shift role (7am- 7pm & 7pm-7am), across a 7-day roster. 

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure operations are running smoothing and meeting daily production targets.
• Problem solving and corrective actions for process issues or deviations from production targets.
• Effective reporting of plant performance
• Utilisation of on-shift tradesman to maximum benefit 
• Ensure team understanding and participation in 5S events and our IWS program.
• Drive a safety culture on site.
• Ensure products conform to customer and company requirements.

About You

• Qualifications in manufacturing, supply chain or engineering
• Previous experience in a manufacturing operations environment, ideally leading a small team.
• Strong leadership capability and interest in developing teams.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a cross functional team.
• Results and continuous improvement oriented
• Be able to meet requirements of Orora’s pre-employment medical which includes drug & alcohol testing.
