Electrical Engineer

The Role

As our Electrical Engineer at the Ballarat Can Ends Manufacturing site, you’ll be responsible for on-going maintenance of machinery, equipment and services on site to assist in meeting or exceeding site objectives (Production, Quality, Spoilage).

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct and oversee preventative maintenance according to site standards.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, providing accurate repair time estimates.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns, taking corrective action as needed.
• Manage inventory, purchase necessary supplies, and maintain detailed records.
• Install machinery, tools, and equipment to specification standards.
• Build business cases and initiate capital requests.
• Provide technical expertise and insights into repairs and maintenance for electrical and engineering issues.

About You

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or an Electrical Trade Certificate 
• Proven leadership or management experience (3-5 years), with the ability to inspire and lead a team.
• Experience in process or high-speed manufacturing environments.
• Skilled in troubleshooting technical issues, with subject matter expertise in electrical and automation.
