The Role

This is a commercially critical leadership role within Orora’s Global Glass business, responsible for driving growth, protecting value, and strategically positioning the business to compete and win in a rapidly evolving market.

The Sales Director will lead the commercial and sales strategy for Australia and New Zealand overseeing supply from the South Australian manufacturing facilities based in Gawler. Major responsibilities include developing and executing the sales strategic plan, deepening customer engagement, delivering on strategic negotiations, and embedding a customer-led culture across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the Sales Strategic Plan, driving revenue growth, profitability, and customer retention through optimisation of manufacturing assets and identifying new market segments
  • Drive sales excellence and capability development, coaching and empowering a high-performing, self-sufficient sales team.
  • Champion the Value and sustainability agendas, leveraging recycled content, innovation, and carbon reduction initiatives to strengthen market positioning.
  • Strengthen regional integration between our factories to optimise sourcing, supply, and service across the region.
  • Foster deep customer partnerships, leading strategic negotiations, large RFPs, and collaborative forecasting to deliver best in class outcomes.
  • Partner with Customers, Sales and drive innovation to generate value-adding solutions for beverage customers.

We’re seeking an accomplished commercial leader with the strategic mindset, financial capability, and relationship depth to shape Orora’s glass business.

  • Proven success in senior sales or commercial leadership, ideally within manufacturing, packaging, or beverage industries.
  • Strong financial and strategic acumen, with a record of delivering revenue and profit growth and optimising value from manufacturing assets.

  • Strong personal values built on respect and trust, enabling long-term customer partnerships.
  • Experience operating effectively in a matrix-style environment.
  • Established connections within the beverage market and the ability to build meaningful, influential relationships.
