About Our Rocklea Facility:

Orora’s Cans business is growing! With rising demand across Australia, New Zealand, and Oceania, we’re investing $140M into our Rocklea facility, ensuring we can continue to meet growing customer needs. This investment includes a new high-speed can body line, boosting our capacity by 13% and featuring cutting-edge decoration and quality systems. The Role: 

Reporting into the shift supervisor and working a 12hr rotating shift (7am- 7pm & 7pm-7pm) the key responsibilities of the role will include but are not limited to: 

  • Maintaining safety, quality, and manufacturing standards
  • Operating high speed machinery including:
    • performing changeovers
    • troubleshooting
    • machine adjustments
    • maintenance tasks
    • Assist in machinery changeovers.
  • Reading & following SOP’s
  • Contributing to our approach of continuous improvement and helping to achieve world class operational performance.
  • Be a proactive and enthusiastic team member.

 

What we are looking for: 

  • Strong communication skills & a team player
  • Basic computer skills
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Availability to work across 24hr rotating shift patterns. 
  • Manufacturing or printing experience is advantageous.
  • Willing to undertake a pre-employment medical which includes drug & alcohol testing.
