The Role

The Quality & Customer Lead is responsible for overseeing quality control and assurance activities at our Canning Vale, can manufacturing facility. This includes managing inspection tools, analysing quality data, addressing production issues, resolving customer complaints, collaborating with production and maintenance teams, and leading audits to maintain high-quality standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality concerns, overseeing the entire NCR (Non-Conformance Report) process, including investigation, documentation, and customer communication.
  • Collaborate with customers to identify opportunities for improving the performance of their can lines
  • Ensure the plant's adherence to Food Safety, HACCP, and Quality Management System standards, including maintaining relevant certifications.
  • Lead the preparation, maintenance, and execution of internal and external audits for Quality and Food Safety.
  • Spearhead the training and development initiatives for all site team members across all quality-related areas.
  • Coordinate with machine suppliers to provide ongoing support and maintenance.

 

About You

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the FMCG industry
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders
  • Experience leading auditing activities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and document control systems
  • Outstanding written & verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail
