Production Lead

The Role

As the Production Lead, you will play a key role in driving the success of our team and plant, you’ll be responsible for leading a team of 4 direct reports and 36 indirect reports being an integral part of a high-performance team working to meet our production targets while maintaining cost-effective and safe operations.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting into the Manufacturing Manager and working Monday to Friday (6am- 3pm) the key responsibilities of the Production Lead will include but are not limited to: 

• Lead and develop manufacturing teams, ensuring the growth of both direct and indirect reports.
• Drive best practices in production to achieve optimal results.
• Manage plant expenditure, efficiency, and quality within budgeted levels to ensure cost-effective production.
• Support the development of autonomous work groups and maintain a strong commitment to safety, environmental standards, and quality systems.
• Oversee training and development programs to ensure continuous improvement.
• Work with the Manufacturing Manager to set key objectives and regularly review and adjust performance. 

About You

• A trade or tertiary qualification in Engineering, Mechanical, or Electrical (preferred).
• Proven success in a similar Production Lead role, ideally within fast-paced, high-speed manufacturing environments.
• A track record of motivating and driving high-performance teams while fostering a positive, inclusive culture.
• Proactive and solution-focused, particularly with safety, quality, and production targets.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with teams
