Process & Reliability Engineer

The Role

The Reliability & Process Engineer leads hands-on continuous improvement projects and facilitates maintenance strategies at the high-speed Beverage Can facility. You will be analysing key performance data to optimise equipment and asset reliability. The role works closely with the Engineering Lead on capital projects and provides technical expertise to ensure site-wide safety, quality, and operational efficiency. 

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse key process data to implement continuous improvement and reliability strategies.  
• Develop maintenance continuous improvement plans and procedures  
• Deliver capital projects and equipment installation, ensuring timelines, budget awareness and effective stakeholder communications.  
• Provide technical advice and support to the plant regarding equipment, materials, and manufacturing processes.  
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis activities, utilising methods such as fishbone diagrams, 5Ys etc. 
• Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance safety, quality, and productivity.  
• Ensure commitment to Safety, Environmental, and Quality systems while assisting in the development of autonomous work groups. 

About You

• Hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline. 
• Possess relevant experience in a similar role within the FMCG or process manufacturing sectors. 
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles and reliability-centred strategies. 
• Exhibit the ability to work autonomously while effectively managing complex issues and data. 
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage stakeholders from the shop floor to the management level. 
• An organized, proactive self-starter with the ability to lead and execute projects.
