The Role

The Team Leader is responsible for developing and leading a self-managed team and responsible for machinery maintenance and the can-making process. Also foster a culture of continuous improvement.at the Canning Vale Can Manufacturing site.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure unwavering commitment to creating and maintaining a safe working environment.
• Effectively coordinate personnel to optimize performance.
• Drive productivity and profitability across operations.
• Communicate with the team in a clear and business-focused manner.
• Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee and manage preventative maintenance activities.
• Conduct troubleshooting and in-depth problem analysis.
• Support and sustain the preventive maintenance system.
• Maintain industrial harmony and foster a collaborative work environment.

What We’re Looking For

• Communication: Written, oral and team leadership skills
• Metrology: Full application of quality measuring equipment
• Statistical process control: Understand and maintain visual SPC
• Engineering: Must hold a current Mechanical Trade Certificate
• Problem solving: Has the ability to lead a team in disciplined problem solving
