The Role

Landsberg Orora is seeking an experienced Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team.

 

  • This position will report to the: Warehouse Manager
  • FLSA Status: Non-exempt

What You’ll be Responsible For in this Role

In this role, you coordinate and assist in operations and processing of paperwork through Shipping Office.  Has the authority and responsibility to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process, and quality system. To
identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, and quality system. To initiate, recommend, or provide solution through designated channels. To verify the implementation of solutions and control further processing or delivery of nonconforming
product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.

 

  • Process deliveries through pick confirming, manifesting and ship confirming.
  • Compiles shipping/receiving reports for division use.
  • May assist with locator updates.
  • Maintains files of delivery tickets, POD’s and OP Receivers.
  • Helps with disposition of product.
  • Performs other duties and/ or responsibilities as assigned.
  • Physical Agility (if pertinent)
  • Performs other duties and/or responsibilities as requested.

What We’re Looking For

  • Six to twelve months related experience and/or training.

 

Abilities and Skills

  • Ability to analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. 
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and public.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 
  • Ability to compute rate, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carryout instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. 
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to use 10-key calculator, PC, photocopies, telephone and facsimile machine
