Service Technician - Landsberg Orora Los Angeles

The Role:

This position is responsible for repairing, servicing, installing, and training of packaging equipment.
 

This position requires travel, which could be up to or above 50% of the work week. This position will require overtime depending on the customer's schedule and demand.

What You’ll be Responsible For in this Role:

• Responsible for maintaining and repairing customers’ equipment as required.
• Responsible for training customers on newly installed equipment.
• Responsible for requesting and following up on parts to service a customer's machine.
• Responsible for completing work orders daily in their entirety to ensure proper billing and allocation of stock.
• Responsible for reviewing and managing reports and calendars specific to job responsibilities.
• Responsible for hitting KPI and goals set up by Leadership.
• Effectively communicate to internal and external customers quickly and professionally.
• Travel as necessary to multiple states.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

What We’re Looking For :
 

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or General Education degree (GED)
• Valid Driver's license and a clean driving record.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge of electricity, schematics, hydraulics, pneumatic and (Programmable Logic Controllers) PLC’s.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical abilities.
• Strong knowledge of packaging equipment is required. Including stretch wrapping, shrink wrapping, case forming, case sealing, and robotics.
• Strong communication and Customer Service abilities. Including face-to-face and email correspondence.
• Ability to use Computer, Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and Excel applications.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, product specifications, and memos.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, vendors, and other employees of the organization.
• Must read, write, and speak English. Bilingual a plus
• Ability to add and subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Reason ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in the following format: written, oral, or diagram form.
• Holistic approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to use RS Logix or equivalent ladder logic program and interface and alter programs running in PLCs.
• Ability to use hand tools, major/minor power tools, and a multimeter.
