The Role
Orora Visual Dallas is seeking a receiving clerk to sign for deliveries, check delivery content against the shipping invoice, address and resolve any problems with shipments, stock or transfer deliveries accordingly, and work with internal customers to address any shipping and delivery issues.
This position will report to the: Manager, Warehouse and Special Projects
Location: Mesquite, TX
FLSA Status: Non - Exempt
What You’ll be Responsible For in this Role
- Accepts and signs for deliveries from distributor.
- Unloading shipments from Delivery trucks
- Checks shipping invoices to ensure all items are accounted for
- Stores, restocks, and shelves delivery items as necessary
- Processes transfers for shipments moving on to another location
- Maintains records of all received shipments
- Reports any major or unresolved shipment delays or problems to manager
What We’re Looking For
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree required.
Additional Required Qualifications:
- Exhibits ability to use inventory software efficiently.
- Possesses basic math skills.
- Works well with a team.
- Communicates clearly and effectively.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills.
- Handles discrepancies or shipping problems calmly and politely.
- Manages time efficiently.
- Demonstrates solid problem-solving skills.
- Is capable of operating forklifts and other equipment to move heavy shipments.
- Demonstrates awareness of proper warehouse and factory safety procedures.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
This job operates in a warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; drive; and see.
