The Role: Operator 1, Flexo
 

Position Summary
 

The Flexo Operator is responsible for the performance of manual and machine tasks in the set-up, operation, and maintenance of the Flexo equipment to accurately produce product
to customer specifications and in time with the production schedule.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • General knowledge and understanding of Flexo processes and equipment.
  • Follow all Safety and Environmental policies including maintaining a clean, organized, safe work area while wearing company provided PPE: safety vest, shoes, glasses, and hearing protection and gloves as needed.
  • Follow all standard operating procedures, general instructions, and job instructions accurately.
  • Aid co-workers in other areas of the Company as needed to maximize production efficiencies and to meet job schedules.

 

Qualifications
 

 

Education, Skills, Experience & Abilities:

  • High school diploma / GED required
  • Must have a minimum of 3 to 5 years’ of operating and performing general preventative maintenance. Flexo experience is preferred
  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to perform basic mathematics including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player in a team-oriented environment.

 

Physical Demands
This job operates in a production environment. This role routinely uses standard equipment such as Presses and forklifts. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; drive; and see.
