Our Dandenong facility continuous to innovate and upgrade its plant. In 2023, we invested $80 million to bring in a new multi-size can line, and we’re not stopping there. The Role

 

This role involves on-going operation of Production equipment, maintenance of machinery, equipment and services on site to assist in meeting or exceeding site objectives (Production, Quality, Spoilage).

 

Actively pursuing electrical maintenance improvements to achieve production targets and improve plant uptime.

 

Reporting into the Shift Manager and working a 12hr rotating shift (7am- 7pm & 7pm-7am) the key responsibilities of the Electrical Operator will include but are not limited to: 

  • Maintain site equipment and machinery by:
    • Conducting preventative maintenance according to site requirements
    • Dissemble, assess, repair and reassemble machines equipment and components.
  • Respond to machine breakdowns and take corrective action promptly.
  • Operate production machinery according to site requirements
  • Troubleshoot machines and equipment by making assessments of machinery issues and estimating duration of time to repair
  • Use the following tools: MEX, log books, PM Check sheets, schematic drawings, sketches, diagrams and technical manuals
  • Connect services where required
  • Suggest areas of improvement and be involved in improvement opportunities
  • Demonstrate an exemplary safety ethic and lead by example in driving standards for health, safety and wellbeing

 

What We’re Looking For

 

  • Electrical Trade Certificate (Advanced Certificate welcomed)
  • Experience in Manufacturing, high speed, 24/7 production environments.
  • Maintenance Experience (Preventative maintenance plans, corrective maintenance systems)
  • A good understanding of Mechanical systems, motors, pumps, conveyors, compressors, air systems.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, health, and the environment.
  • Working knowledge of ‘Lean Manufacturing’ principles and their application.
