Digital Print Technician

The Role

Following the exciting introduction of Helio by Orora, the Digital Printing Technician will support our Cans business with servicing and technical assistance on our digital print line. This will include mechanical rectifications, preventative asset strategy development, print management and ODM management and training. You will also ensure machine maintenance strategy is being followed and can quality satisfies the Helio brand name.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of maintenance on the machine as to the asset strategy, including Velox printer
• Technical advisor for Velox digital printer(s), including advice on setup, diameter/height changes and any  pertaining to print quality.  
• Develop Helio SOP’s 
• Train machine operators and maintenance staff on the machine
• Provide support for continuous improvement activities, workflow, artwork, digital printing techniques etc. 
• Participate in internal and customer meetings and present where necessary. 

About You

• B.Sc. in Engineering, practical engineering, or relevant technical studies  
• Proven “Technical Hands-on” Machine servicing experience 
• End-to-end, high technical capabilities, and strong troubleshooting skills
• Self-learning capabilities, with the ability to work in a team and alone under pressure
• Excellent interpersonal skills, well-organized, team orientated
