The Role

The Customer Service Engineer will deliver professional engineering support to our Cans customers, ensuring equipment operates reliably, efficiently, and in line with agreed standards. This includes installing, commissioning, and maintaining machinery, conducting fault finding and performance optimisation, and providing technical recommendations. The role also supports spare parts identification and ordering to maintain equipment uptime and performance.
You will be required to travel to customer sites across Victoria and interstate, with occasional international travel as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the effective installation and maintenance of customer equipment 
  • Identify & troubleshoot problems with customer equipment in either planned or unplanned circumstances
  • Prepare and implements effective job instruction procedures for customers
  • Assist in the development and preparation of a formal maintenance schedule for customer plant-relevant equipment 
  • Provides support to assist customers and Orora in the resolution and management of relevant customer/consumer complaints
  • Review and evaluate customer plant/product performance information and provide recommendations for improvement 
  • Organises spare parts for maintenance and overhaul work 

About You

  • Mechanical trade qualification, with experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated experience in fabrication and welding
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with an inquisitive mindset and ability to work independently
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer-focused, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Flexible with working hours and locations to accommodate travel requirement
