Position Summary

Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the Director, Warehouse Operations will be responsible for contributing to the development of Best Practices, talent and infrastructure for the Region, but in alignment with Orora Packaging Solutions Supply Chain improvement
strategies and safety standards. Need to collaborate with local management team and Regional Vice Presidents to achieve desired goal of Network Optimization.

 

  • This position will report to the Regional Vice President of Operations
  • Travel Requirement:  Up to 25% may be required
  • FLSA Status: Exempt

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Provides leadership for the enterprise-wide logistics function supporting the Orora Packaging Solution business. Working closely with Regional Management team, the Regional Logistic will contribute to the creation of optimal strategic plans for Fleet, Warehouses, Logistics, Work Flow,
    Inventory Planning, and Operations.
  • Provides support and guidance to locations within the Region on the implementation of Supply Chain Strategies and improvements and ensure compliance..
  • Responsibility for Warehouse standardization to include:
    • ​​​​​​​Developments, implementation and monitoring of warehouse metrics package
    • New warehouse design and project management
    • Warehouse storage; re-profiling and layout
    • Productivity improvement action plans
    • Monitors warehouse safety training progress
    • Manages overall MHE (material handling equipment) requirements and supplier relationship
    • Manages indirect warehouse spend; consolidate warehouse spend to the fewest number of vendors
  • Provides onsite SAP go live support for WM and TM modules.
  • Performs other duties and/ or responsibilities as assigned.

 

What We’re Looking For  

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors in Business Administration. MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years’ experience in logistics, warehousing & supply chain management of which 10 years is at managerial level.
  • Significant experience driving transformation by creating and developing high performing teams and aligning key stakeholders with business objectives.
  • Accomplished in making significant improvements on key metrics such as safety and quality
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, and leading through influence
  • A hands-on, results-oriented approach to business with a ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Proven track record of being able to bring a company to scale
  • Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Strong Business Acumen: Has a pulse on the industry and identifies competitive opportunities; acts quickly to seize opportunities with the ability to identify and capitalize on both trends and innovative thinking
  • Possess a ‘customer first’ attitude; demonstrate passionate commitment for the customer
    and product quality
  • Champion the product and the customer's needs and implements a model of continuous improvement in both company goals and spend management.
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical abilities and problem-¬solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively with business and technology leaders
  • Experience serving the distribution and/or manufacturing industry is highly desired
