At Pollock Orora, a division of Orora Packaging Solutions, is looking for an experienced and expert Sr. SAP Sales and Distribution Functional Analyst to join our growing team! 

 

The Senior SAP SD Functional Analyst is the IT lead for the order to cash business process. This role includes the ongoing support of deployed solutions and building solutions for new business requirements; work with business users and customers to define and scope objectives for system solutions and support all phases of a project lifecycle including design, development, testing, training and documentation. Role requires a customer centric approach and effective collaboration with the business, IT subject matter experts, development teams and external technology partners.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Support to the order to cash business process by ensuring the SAP SD functions integrated with add on systems like tax and credit card software are fully functional. Troubleshoot complex business and technical issues and resolve per SLAs
  • Analyze and provide solutions to improve and optimize business process and productivity
  • Consult with business departments and process owners to defining new business requirements leveraging SAP experience to suggest best practice solution options
  • Responsible for responsible for system configuration, test planning, unit testing integration testing, user acceptance and deployment. Also, responsible for functional specification for development teams
  • Support all aspects of SAP systems including upgrades and life cycle management
  • Lead the analysis and design of reporting and BI solutions for the OTC process.
  • Lead project activities/teams as needed to ensure that the projects are implemented on schedule and within budget.
  • Leads system testing effort necessary as part of project deliverables
  • Lead the support and development of integrations between SAP and non-SAP systems like ecommerce, tax and credit software.
  • Train users on new systems and processes.
  • Perform other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned

 

Qualifications:

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Computer systems, Engineering or Management Information Systems with emphasis in a specific functional area such as operations, logistics or sales and marketing OR in lieu of degree, 10+ years of equivalent work experience and technical training required
  • 7+ years of SAP SD experience with an emphasis on design, configuration and troubleshooting required
  • Demonstrated comprehension of core business functions, processes, and operations
  • Experience with logistics and wholesale distribution a plus

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • SAP configuration and functional skills in SD Module, Solid understanding of SAP SD model
  • Comprehensive understanding of SAP’s customizing toolset
  • Ability to work independently as well as a team player required
  • Effective interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate on cross functional project teams and foster team commitment to tasks required
  • Effective verbal, written communication and presentation skills with ability to express complex business concepts in technical terms required
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills required
  • Position requires the ability to demonstrate the following:
