The Role: Sales Manager
Position Summary
MPP Orora is seeking an experienced and talented Sales Manager. - This position reports to the: VP of Sales
- Travel Requirement: Regionally in Texas
- FLSA Status: Salaried Exempt
What You’ll be Responsible For
- Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program
- Analyzes individual sales representative’s sales to formulate a plan to assist in reaching of established goals
- Involved in product simplification and standardization to eliminate unprofitable items from sales line
- Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product
- Coordinates liaison between sales department and other sales related units
- Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume and potential sales
- Directs product research and development
- Recommends expenditures, and appropriations for research and development work
- Assists with daily sales problems
- Maintain communications between management and sales representatives
- Submits Quarterly Monthly Evaluation and Activity Report
- Maintains own sales
- Develop new business
- Conduct meetings with their sales team
- Interviews potential sales reps
- Conduct quarterly monthly call reviews with assigned sales person
- Performs other duties and/ or responsibilities as assigned
- Has the authority to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process, and quality system
- To identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, and quality system
- To initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels
What We’re Looking For
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School degree or equivalent work experience in related industry
- Minimum 5 years of Sales experience within the corrugated manufacturing industry and Sales management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to sell and lead a sales organization.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to add, subtract, and multiply, and divide. Ability to use whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers
- Ability to solve practical problems. Provides leadership, motivation and positive attitude to all coworkers both in his/her department as well as the Division
