We are seeking a talented, quantitative and solution driven Sr. Business Analyst with strong organizational management, problem solving, written and oral communication skills to provide Report Design and Development.  Primary focus on supporting the SS&P operations (process, reporting design and continuous improvement planning initiatives) business intelligence (BI) and supplier management (complex categories) projects.

Responsibilities

 

  • Supports SS&P leadership and co-workers for all data requests. Use analytic techniques to support sourcing and procurement projects. Establish and maintain communication channels with leadership, key team members, and internal business units for data gathering/analysis and to support their business requirements.
  • Extracts data from ERP systems for use in analytics, business intelligence tools, and reporting. Creates and validates reporting within IT approved tools to support needs of the business for decision-making and monitoring of trends and performance on desired metrics.
  • Use analytic techniques to support sourcing and procurement projects. Establish and maintain communication channels with leadership, key team members, and internal business units for data gathering/analysis and to support their business requirements
  • Assist Category Management team in the execution of recurrent opportunity/benefit assessment e.g. spend, cost/benefit analysis and reporting, etc.
  • Extract data from ERP systems, analysis, modeling tool input and output analysis/ reporting. Understand the nature of businesses and make the business case using data analytics. Support review and assessment of efficiencies within businesses, identifying opportunities and providing improvement recommendations.
  • Create, validate and promote mathematical models to report performance, model suppliers and industry to assist in the decision-making processes. Develop reports on all risks and financial indicators including for example overpayment/over expenditure etc. according to required standard performance metrics set.
  • Monitor internal operations and vendor's performance metrics set. Support design of RFx bid sheet, creating pricing table and an evaluation plan. Code the pricing sheet whenever appropriate/applicable and perform appropriate data checks. Review/analyze feedback received from suppliers via pricing sheets.
  • Provide negotiation support. Support analysis of complex bid award scenario's analysis. Perform scenarios to obtain input or buy-in from internal stakeholders and leadership.
  • Assist in the development of Procure Plus education materials and enablers.
  • Independently uses data tools to highlight issues and opportunities for sourcing and procurement and provide improvement recommendations.
  • Produces and distributes regular updates and presentations to business leadership using PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, BI and Excel. Subject will include raw material index and cost trends, category performance, promotional success.
  • Supports market analysis. May include but not limited to generating Supplier Lists, usage and cost comparison's participating in the creation of RFx (concept design) and identifying key evaluation data elements. Participates in the evaluation plan to understand the feasibility of RFx evaluation using quantitative techniques. Analyzes and reports RFx information in suitable format using excel and/or Access and /or VBA.
  • Performs other duties and/ or responsibilities as assigned.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field and 3-5 years of relevant supply chain, procurement and analytical work experience
  • Expert level user of quantitative applications such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Teams & BI, SAP and/or SQL Server
  • Excellent user of Power Point
  • Ability to understand the impact of accurate data on Orora Packaging Solutions (OPS) businesses.
  • Effective organizational, verbal communication and writing skills as demonstrated in previous work experience.
