Pricing Analyst

This position will be responsible in creating, tracking and analyzing pricing models to assist the sales and marketing teams. Pricing analyst will work closely with management to develop and roll out price models and strategies for Orora’s products and services. Other duties will include maintaining price lists, contributing content for sales proposals, analyzing margins daily, and generating pricing reports for various initiatives. 

 

Summary of Role and How You’ll Fit In

In this role, the Pricing Analyst will work with the Account Profitability team, Sales and Marketing teams to ensure the business pricing strategy needs are met.

 

This position reports to the: Director, Business Intelligence

Travel Requirement:  % of Travel Required/Frequency : up to 20 %

FLSA Status: Exempt

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide regular and ad hoc pricing analysis and reporting for management.
  • Coordinate proposal development with the sales team and management.
  • Provide project support and analysis to managers
  • Validate sales quotations for accuracy and profitability.
  • Download and organize baseline price information, analyze and report on inconsistencies, and identify opportunities to optimize sales and profitability through price strategies.
  • Establish a system of documentation, communication and review of internal and external comparative price data, including wins and losses due to price
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on monthly Price Realization (erosion) versus budget commitment on specific SPAs, quotes, market segments and/or customers.
  • Perform margin and pricing analysis to support key business initiatives as required
  • Perform monthly analysis of existing transactional level data to identify price/margin erosion and assist sales and product management teams in constructing and implementing solutions.
  • Monitor contract value, funding needs, and change orders in coordination with contract specialist and adjust budgets accordingly.
  • Independently develop new Excel/Power BI models, charts and graphs, and procedures as necessary.
    Analyze market dynamics, pricing trends, market opportunities, operating and sales margins in order to develop reports, procedures and tools for pricing and quoting.
  • Manage price change execution related to SPAs and quotes, including data integrity and consistency.
  • Take initiative in identifying and resolving issues around pricing and margin.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including ad-hoc analysis on methods to optimize price through market and pricing strategies.
  • Document, streamline and maintain pricelist creation processes, maintain and update other pricing processes.
    Assist with product launch/changes activities on pricelists.
  • Log global and local price issues.
  • Provide global and local price data quality checks and control.
  • Provide global and local price data troubleshooting.
  • Provide a high-quality pricing customer Service to Channel Partners, Customers and Internal Customers.
  • Ensure that prices and specific programs conform to the organization’s pricing strategy
  • Responsible for documenting and maintaining pricing processes
  • Responsible for the review and administration of price deviations and exceptions
  • Provide support for system upgrades and implementations related to pricing
  • Performs other duties and/or responsibilities as requested.

 

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
  • 2-4 years of previous analyst experience preferred

Additional Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of previous analyst experience preferred
  • SAP knowledge, Power BI and creative skills
  • Self-starter attitude with superior communication, writing skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
