Role: Mfg MES analyst

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

The Mfg manufacturing execution system (MES) analyst will develop and support the manufacturing floor systems in the Kiwi MES system. This includes shop floor scheduling, work center management, WIP tracking, quality management and integration with production equipment and IOT devices. The objective is to optimize manufacturing floor efficiency using MES and integration technologies including enabling reporting capabilities to track planned and actual factory performance.

 

Principal Duties:

  • Leverage business and technical expertise to define technology architecture, business modeling, technical design and development of MES capabilities.
  • Define and develop best practices for process excellence and functional configurations.
  • Work with business leaders to define end state manufacturing floor processes. This involves working with production managers and process owners in defining functional requirements.
    • Analyze factory floor processes and provide solutions to optimize productivity
    • Provide day to day system/process support to
    • Build process documentation, functional specifications and test scripts
    • Maintain system configuration
    • Change management and train users on new systems and processes.
    • Manage and oversee the design and development of customized reports
    • Design and development of interfaces
  • Work directly with project stakeholders throughout the entire lifecycle of multiple projects to define, design and implement robust technology solutions.
    • Performs a project manager role to roll out applications/business processes to ensure the goals and objectives of the project are accomplished on time and within budget.
    • Manage outsourced resources to achieve project goals
    • Prepares project status reports for management and business users.
    • Leads system testing effort necessary as part of project deliverables
  • Partners with peers across the IT organization to solve complex business problems including taking a lead role on the high-level solution options and design

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years of MES experience preferably Kiwi
  • 5+ years relevant experience supporting MES systems  
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and strong Project Management capabilities

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or Engineering.
