The Role

 

MPP Orora is seeking a skilled and experienced Flat Die Cut Operator to join our converting plant team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating flat die cutting machines to
produce high-quality finished products that meet ISO9001:2015 quality standards.

 

This position will report to the: Plant Superintendent
Location: Brea, CA

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

 

What You’ll be Responsible For in this Role

 

  • Operate flat die cutting machines to cut and shape materials according to customer specifications
  • Ensure that materials are loaded onto the machines correctly and that the machines are properly set up
  • Monitor the machines during operation to ensure that they are cutting accurately and efficiently
  • Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure that they meet ISO9001:2015 quality standards
  • Adjust machine settings as necessary to achieve optimal performance and quality
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines to keep them in good working condition
  • Communicate with the production team to coordinate production schedules and ensure timely delivery of finished products
  • Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe work environment

 

What We’re Looking For

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience operating flat die cutting machines in a manufacturing or converting plant environment
  • Knowledge of ISO9001:2015 quality standards
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in a noisy environment
