The Role
The Key Account Manager will develop and execute the sales strategy for the Closures business’s East Coast (Qld, NSW & Victoria). This includes key account management and a significant focus on acquiring new business. Significant regional travel will be required. You will collaborate with the other Orora business units’ sales team to leverage and share opportunities across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a designated customer base and be responsible for achieving the volume, net sales and PBIT targets for the region
- Strategic sales planning and trend analysis
- NPD and innovation activity within their customer base and with new business opportunities identified
- Forecasting (as part of the S&OP process) as well as support process to deliver against customer service and delivery benchmarks
- Contract renewals and tender negotiations
- New business identification for Closures and Glass
About You
- Previous new business & sales experience
- Good understanding of manufacturing nuances, specifically on capacity, capability, lead times and quality issues
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to turn market intel into sales opportunity
- A self-starter and someone who is hungry to achieve sales targets
- Good time management & analytical skills
